About 62 kilometers or an hour’s travel away from Cebu City is the lovely southwestern town of Barili, picture-perfect with its vast green fields and hills that roll over to kiss the sea. Farming and fishing remain the major source of income for its people, with its agricultural sector complemented by a vibrant livestock market which is one of the biggest of its kind in the whole province. The town is host to the Cebu Agricultural School, now called the Cebu Technological University- Barili Campus. What lures visitors to Barili, however, is the opportunity for sightseeing.
